Hi ,
I am in the process of upgrading from my K700i to another phone. I have 2 choices with me either K790i or K750i. Not able to make out which one to go for . Can u ppl help me out which will be a better bet in terms of features , pros/cons on it.
Ppl who are using K790i if they can give me some inputs on it, how is it & how is it going ...........

According to that you are coparing two phones from the same series (the K series) there are not any EXTRA features that one of them has and the other hasn't, so between these two phones the K790 is definately better choice. It has much better camera with real xenon flash copared to the K750 so go for the K790.

@ps - I guess the K790 is not a 3G fone . . . if the price disparity between the 2 options is a BIT - high . . . I will advise to get the K750 . . . then buy the MXE-60 optional-accessory-xenon flash for it . . . the only difference which does NOT make that BIG of an issue is the MP on it's camera . . . 2 MP (K750) against the 3.2 MP (K790)

The K750i is an alltime favorite phone and pretty stable right now. So unless you really like to take pictures all the time with your phone and use them, it is the right choice.

Well, u should think what u are really looking for in a mobile and then make the choice. They are similiar products but have differences like xenon flash, better screen, etc. K790 can also play videos in higher resolution than k750 but it supports a memory card with less mbs (up to 1gb against 4gb in k750), but thats temporary, i guess. Their video recording resolution is the same though, which is drawback because k790 is a newer model, but what can we do?
K790 can open many apps at the same time and exchange info between them like copy and paste text, if you like having more than 2 apps (k750) opened at the same time like browser, msn, game, and email u should consider k790. K790 design is more attractive imo. The cam shutter is not horizontal so it wont open many times when removing the phone from your pocket, like with k750. The joystick is said to be more resistant in k790. k790 has a bigger internal memory and faster cpu (~220mhz against ~110mhz in k750) which means faster picture loading, browsing through picts is also faster just as playing apps. I have played with a k790 and the main menu seemed slower than on k750, dont ask me why. However, the cam and the whole rest, even changing themes, was noticebly faster.
K790 is newer which means it has the ´cooler´ factor more on its side, not to mention the james bond edition if u r into that sort of thing.
k790 media player and alarm are also better. there are probably other differences in their menus and apps but i cant recall them now.
So, u should think about what u need/want and how much you are willing to spend and then choose. K750 may be cheaper now but it wont be worth anything in 1-2 years time. K790´s value will last for longer if u think of reselling it.

Obviously K790. The only reason why the K750 is popular is because its hella cheap. Increase its price to 350$ and then i'll see who buys it.
K790 will also last long before it gets outdated.

the k750i is a very stable and balanced handset. i recommend it to everyone.
however, if a 2mp camphone is not enough, then go for the k790. for me the k750i is enough. it suits all my needs.

K750 is still a wonderful phone! For the next 1year, it will still have a price and people will still buy it though the price will be low. K750's camera is great. With proper positioning, adequate lighting and good photo skills, you'll make excellent pictures! Please note, megapixel isn't the sole determinant for a sharper picture. Mp mainly determines the highest possible resolution(size) of photo you can take with that digi-cam. You could have a 6mp digi-cam and me 2mp digi-cam but yet still take clearer pictures than you i.e if i get the other factors(lightening, posture, positioning of the object, my photography skills, better camera lens etc.)

However, if money is not your problem, go for the k790 without hesitating

Both the K750i & the K790a/i support 8GB of external memory
K750i = 8GB MSDuoPro
K790a/i, K800/810 = 8GB M2.
I know because I have BOTH the K850i and the K790a up to last mth and was able to format & save & load over 6GB of music on the M2 8GB while in the K790a - and NOT the most recent firmware as well.
