Hi, ive just got my brand new K800i from O2 shop in IRELAND and it seems to have realy bad battery life time if to compare with previous model - K750i. As i am realy heavy user on this kind of stuff i know what takes off the battery lifetime, but now ive charged my K800i switched off for 10 hours like it supose to be for first time, and ive deselected highest display contrast to 50% from 100%, switched off 3G network usage, and i had chosed to use only GSM band(do not use GPRS at all). I didnt used camera or music player at all today...bluetooth and infrared was off all time either. Ive made ~10 mins voice call today, have send 5 sms and now my battery is on ~51%... does anyone else having the same problems with K800i ???????? Im afraid my battery could have faulty or somthn wrong with K800... even phone specifications shows that this K800i supose to work 7Hours on talk time in GSM network and ~290Hours in standby time(that generaly supose to be half standby time hours at least, like 145hours that means ~5-6 days for realy light user), as i was trying to be today... Im afraid that i will have to come back to my K750i which ive pluged in on charger for each sunday night...

please help!!!

If u have some info about W810/W850/W950/K618m/M600 batteries, please let me know...thanks! regards!

Hi Hacq,

Also try updating your phone to the latest firmware using SEUS if you've not done so already as they made a few changes to backlight timing and it helps with baterry life.

I also found that after a few topup charges my battery now seems to last longer,

PS: Before someone mentions it,
With lithium polymer there is no need to completely discharge your battery before topping up and doesn't help improve battery life as these batteries do not work in the same way as normal rechargables (There's no memory problem)

Hi, i was trying o do this the last day but the f**king SEUS recognised my K800i as having newest software in it allready so no update were done! But there is at least 2 software updates available, but SEUS wont let me to upgrade jus because program recognises my K800i with the latest software in it. There was the same bug with K750i i had before(still having it ) i couldnt upgrade my phone to latest software.
Everyone could understand that my phone does not have newest software just because its: R1CB001, and i could not understand why SEUS says that i have what i do not have. Ive downloaded latest SEUS from SE web page, after ive installed it, program connected itself to web and got an update...but still tells lies....

Hi HacQ,

So you still have R1CB001? (I wasn't sure which firmware you may have with you only just getting your phone (your first post))

It does depend which country you try and upgrade from using SEUS, as the new firmware roll out it done at different times, O2 UK only just released version R1ED001 about a week ago so I would say give it a few days and try again.

Mines gave me crap the first few days but then it came right, I charge it every 3-4 days, its decent.

yes, i still have that genuine original first ever made software version on my K800i... what do you want to tell me now? if i would choose some other region on SEUS such as BRASIL or ITALY it may do an upgrade for my K800i with a newer version? or could it damage or affect my phone wrong? im asking for it just because im afraid to damage software somehow or do something to my phone wrong(ive never done that before). i have to choose United Kingdom region just because there is no such region as IRELAND (just because everything in to ireland everything comes realy late and f**ked big price if u kompare with UK :> )...anyway
waiting an advise...
regards!

K800i's battery life is about the same as my old w800i, after a couple of charges it get's better!
With the newest firmware it will get even better, I love my k800i loads more, even the speakersound is better.

No way, Bezzz, u r joking probably...!!! i dont believe in this! how do u use your phone? does the battery life lasts for u 5-7 days???!!! like ive explained my battery was crap, u see explain details up in first msg, i wasnt happy with that, because of battery, camera had just name and xenon flash light, quality wasnt better than K750i 100% not if u take these two pics one from K750 and other from K800 and look closely in to pixel quality - u can get the same from 2mb pix cam after resizing to 3MB pix size ]:( couldnt do even normal pic at night time in mist like k750 did(flash light is nothin worth on that situation, but it is great indoor or in clear dark)!!! phone like brick(i cant understand, how they couldnt build something smaller, something like K750/w800...), wherever, only screen was the option why u can take that as a step forward in the phone upgrade. everything else the same or even worst.

Tell me your opinion guys would you choose K750i wit the same quality display as k800 has , or would you go on K800 generaly, and why?!

What i can tell you, i would go on K750i.

anyway - ive brought mine k800i back, got refund, ill wait for W950/M600/W850...nothin else
