Hi!

I have strated to port my Animated Stereogram program to UIQ3.
Here is the UIQ3 version, works fine on my M600:

animatedstereogram_20061003.sis

There are keyboard shortcuts as well:
Q - Quit
R - toggle cube rotation
P - toggle calculation
S - toggle normal or stereogram mode
F - toggle fullscreen
N - Change noise pattern
Up/Down - change object
L - Load object (try D:OtherMoney.3ds)

Theoretically it should load any .3ds file: just export a 3D model (not too complex into .3ds format, send it to the phone, then open it with this program.

Please let me know if it works on P990 (or on W950)

Btw, just for the record, here is the link to the UIQ2 version:

Any comments/ideas/crits are welcome

Edit:

Sorry, I forgot to update the link, now you can download the new version.

thanks for your work, looks fine with p990 but the P,R buttons are not working, they only pause the animation.

First of all thank you for testing, I'm glad it works on the P990.

R and P supposed to stop the cube

Here is a more detailed explanation:

'R' turns on/off the cube rotation.
'P' turns on/off the rendering.

The difference can be seen when you turn on stereogram making: if the cube is stopped ('R') but the redrawing is not stopped (not 'P'), then the noise will be regenerated. Ie. the stereogram will be redrawn, with differen noise pattern, but the cube image will be static.

Btw, I forgot: 'N' toggles the noise patter.

sory if it is stupid, but what is this app for?

It's just a toy But IMHO it's pretty cool.

Btw, if you don't know what stereograms are, you should check out this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stereogram

In short: it's an optical illusion: if you look at the image my focusing a bit behind (so the two dots overlap), you should see a 3D image.

Well, this program makes a step further: it shows a rotating object, ie. not a static image, but some animation.
