Hey mate,
Not a pr0 photoshopper...but will try and give it a shot later..got exams on monday so bit strapped for time But seen a 206 with em on and gotta say they look decent

Posted by Coxy
Seen lexus lights on 206s quite often. Do give it a nicer look but sometimes can clash with darks colours. So good idea to get a photochop first.

@brownlad007 Nice car, i was looking at a polo yesterday

Btw how much did u pay 4 it if u dont mind me asking?

Posted by brownlad007
it was £2800 mate.

thanks for the help ppl. acutally it was solidsingh who suggest the photoshop lol. just need to know if the colours may clash

Posted by Luke-the-magic-man
my mate has the same thing and it looked mint, thoguh his car was a blue. The other thing u cud do is put tights over the lights that looks pretty good to

Posted by axxxr
Hang on..say that again,Tights?

Posted by brownlad007
hahah. wtf?

just confirmed the car was bought for £2700.. got haggled down abit lol

Posted by p900 lover
Well done mate, £2700 is too much for a 1st car for me. Im looking for somthing older

Posted by solidsingh
wat u lookin to spend dan?

Posted by Luke-the-magic-man
good man, i recon if I were there I would have got it down to 2500 atleast lol (im am awfull for haggeling I have even done it in woolwarths lol

Yes I do mean tights, basically you get a pair of tights the same colour as your car or a close match then remove your lights and stick them in the tights and wrap them back and put your lights back in place. On the right car it looks awsome and when the lights are on it doesnt effect the brightness at all due to the stretchty thin material their made from. Try it and see how it looks will only cost a few quid and takes less then 30 min

Posted by brownlad007
hmm ill try it.

the man was a bastard. after 30mins of hagling, he wouldnt come down on £15.

now just gota work out when i can get to london and bring it up here :/

Don't get Lexus lights. They're cheap unoriginal and look tacky on any 206.

THANK YOU!

If they were meant to be put on other cars they'd call 'em "Univeral lights" or something, but their called Lexus lights, so leave them on lexus's!

If your gonna do it up man do it nicely, don't chav it up with lexus lights.

Posted by brownlad007
hm k. thanks for the advice. any suggestions then?

Posted by solidsingh
i think smokes lights on black cars look good, when the lights look like bodywork

like this

Posted by lamont
i think that car in general looks good, i love the A3!

Posted by brownlad007
i hate them

Posted by kk.226
The new A3 is amazing!

Bav... any chance you buy a different car? lol... get a 306 man, much nicer than the 206.

I'll have a look for some good 206 stuff in a bit.

Posted by brownlad007
cheers kk...

wtf.. my bro wanted a 306 aswell but i think they look like a old model and that.

Posted by brownlad007
any suggestions on how 2 make my car look better? nothing chav like though lol. i think keeping it simple is best

Posted by solidsingh
drop it 40mm, powerflow exhaust with a small chrome tailpipe, 17" rims, tints

Posted by Vein
Tune the engine leave the bodywork, then leave BMW's in awe as you've smoked them at the lights and they didnt expect it from a normal looking car - street sleeper

Posted by brownlad007
vein.. say it all again i cant understand :s lol. im not that familiar with cars. how would i lower it ?

Posted by lamont
have different springs fitted on your suspension or get new shocks all together! get it done professionally though or you can really F**K your cars handling up! also get a metallic black paint job, dark tints, nice nice rims (preferably chrome) get some lezus lights (only if u paint car black or will look shit) and get small things like chrom door handles. this guy across the road from me has got the car i just described, looks real nice. get a 6x4 oval exhaust to!

Posted by brownlad007
can u get any pics? how much all this shit gna cost ?

A 6x4 oval exhaust would make his car look like a bloody hoover.

Bav.. basically keep the car standard looking. Modify the engine!

Posted by brownlad007
seen. im gna do the tints myself on the weekend. then see whats happening. i cant b arsed to spend so much on the car though. rims gna cost like £500

Posted by Vein
Don't try the tints, if the sheet tears or bubbles on the window you're f**ked..

Posted by brownlad007
ive done them on like 4 or 5 cars.

Posted by lamont
and get a banging system in the trunk! ATLEAST 2000w of power hehe

Ideal no more than £1500 but i could puch it up to £2000

Might look into getting a 306 as a friend of mine is selling hers. I can trust her cos shes a girl (girls r more carfull) and wants £1800 for it.

@brownlad007 where abouts is it in london? If you dont mind me asking
I could always pick it up for you lol joking

Posted by brownlad007
lol, its in east barnet in my cousins garage :/ . prob go thurs or fri to get it.

dont get a car owned from a friend. when its urs, it wont feel like its your. trust me

Posted by Esater
Dont lower the car - the rides crap afterwards. We laugh at our mates Polo thats been lowered and everytime he goes through speed bumps feels like there's an earthquake.

Posted by brownlad007
lol, i might jsut tint it and leave it there then

Posted by p900 lover
If you put tints on it you will get stop buy every police car. lolHonestly mate

Posted by Esater
Yeah, just leave it and save up for a ferrari or something - that way you wouldnt need to mod it and everything is original. lol

That's because it has been lowered without stiffening the suspension no wonder it handles like crap. Do it properly and it will handle better.

I've lowered just about ever car I've owned, including a turbo charged commodore and several hotted up old holden's. But I didn't just cut the springs - I replaced them with stiffened shorter versions. The handling afterwards was radically improved over stock.

My current car, a Peugeot 405 is already reasonably low (as stock) and it handles so well I don't really need to tweak the suspension.

Posted by p900 lover
