fatreg

Posted by leeboy13
ive never heard one echo...... only on ducktales!

But seriously i dont think they do

Posted by methylated_spirit
Its an old wives tale, never mind a ducktale hehe. Seriously, why would a ducks quack not echo? Its only vibrating air, like every other sound on earth.

Posted by leeboy13
ahhhh i see now, so it does echo just not loud enough to hear....

So lets say for example if there was a duck 6ft tall with mamouth voical cords - would we then hear his echo? not taking the mickey, just wondering if its something to do with the ducks abillity to hit certain pitches or whether its becuase they constantly whisper?

Posted by methylated_spirit
hehe Yeah, a six foot tall duck would make some echo! And, if you grafted a laser beam onto its head, it would a fearsome killing machine that i could use to terrorize the peasants in my realm!

Posted by leeboy13
lmao, finally something to make me smile! hahahaha

maybe we start start a thread - 'animals at war - whos the strongest' using their size and mobillity, this can help us determine with which weapon, whcih animal is the strongest....... up for it meths and anyone else? rather than spoiling this thread which is actually quite interesting.....

@JN: The money in India is made of Threaded Paper (better believe it!), not Cotton. Till 1956 Indian Rupees were printed on cotton notes. Threaded paper is more difficult to reproduce, and easier to fold.

So is a 'Pint', 1 'Pint' = 330ml, Infact, even 1 'Unit' = 330 ml. (anyone here who's donated blood probably knows this already )

is 34 true - 'by raising your legs slowly in quicksand you can not sink......'

i cant see that being true! anyone care to video it?

Posted by methylated_spirit
Money tends to be printed on laminated linen these days, rather than cotton. Lasts longer. And anyone who says "I put a £20 note through the was and lost it! I'm raging!" Is a bloody liar. Money these days can take severe punishment, i've washed loads of the stuff and its turned out fine! (Not laundered, hehehe)

I remember seeing somewhere that there is no such thing as quick sand?

Posted by methylated_spirit
All quicksand is is sand and mud and water, but its very sticky and if you do get caught its hard to get out. However, it is very dense, so the human body is very buoyant in it i.e. it floats. So if you do happen to fall in some quicksand that is very deep, you won't sink any lower than up to your chest anyway.
