W900i USB connection problem

Dont know if its just me but im having real trouble getting my SE PC Suite to recognise that my new w900i is connected via the usb cable. As far as i can see all drivers and software are correctly installed and i have gone into the connection settings and made sure that the com ports showing there (ports 1, 2 and 3) are all enabled and have re-installed software on pc and also rebooted both PC and handset to no avail.

Would be really greatfull for any suggestions

If the phone is in "file transfer mode" it will not be connected in PC suite. although you can use the middle functions if connected via usb, such as disc2phone & adobe. When in phone mode the phone will be connected in PC suite- you can use the functions to the left?right such as image editor or network wizard.
