I have a 02 branded w800i but i want to unbrand it to get the walkman startup shut down etc but i still want to be able to use SEUS afterwards. I was looking on the TMS website and it said you cannot use the SEUS after you debrand, am i screwed?

I debranded and unlocked my old Orange k700i with Davinci earlier this year, then i got R2AY on it with SEUS a few months later,is there a difference with it being a w800i?

Before trying to flash, check with SEUS first...

...if it say's that the provider (O2) will not allow the update to continue then regardless of what you do SEUS will never work for your phone.

However, if SEUS does allow an update (might as well try it it's free) and you still want to Debrand, then use one of the on-line loggers to debrand your phone. (DaVinci or TMServer etc...)

leave CDA-string alone...

However (2), SEUS does not (apprently) do a complete flash...

...therefore future updates with SEUS maybe incompatable with a Logger Flashed phone.

But firmware updates are to improve the product so this update maybe the last or last but 1 - so not too expencive if you need the logger approach.

But (2) I don't know for sure

Maybe wait untill your contract and warrenty are up

The biggest problems are trying to rebrand after ANY fault occures with the phone whilst still under warrenty...

...nothing can put those little icons back to the way they were so even if the firmware flash had nothing to do with a fault you may not beable to return it as it no longer has the branded screen!!!!

I think, complain to operator (O2) that you bought a W800 and it doen't function as a W800 so please fix this

hi, if the phones cda is changed to that of a w800i's it should be o.k with sues and it wont reject it.

SEUS may have once updated with a generic CDA but efforts appear to be a foot to include the IMEI. This is a silly move by SEUS as it may encorage IMEI altering. Anyway it's Crimbo eve
