Hey guys,
Was converting my k750i R1N to w800i R1NA firmware... conversion went fine but something strange has happened to my phone...
whenever i plug in my stereo headset it changes to the handsfree profile but if i unplug it doesn't change back to normal profile.. (it still thinks headset is plugged in and makes no sound i have to reboot to fix.)
It worked perfectly fine before the flash
i originally thought it was firmware so i changed back to R1N k750i. but the bug is still there now...
any advice?
something else happened that i should include.. i was charging up my phone before flash and when i went to get it .. i got an electric shock (static from carpet) it killed my charger... could that have also messed up the phone hardware somehow?
man such bad luck lately.. first w550i dies now this....
anybody have any advice? do you think another flash would fix? or did the static shock somehow damage the board/connectors?

Somehow i have the same problem... But!
I changed my D750i into W800 with red R1N035... and the phone didn't recognize my headset..
Iflashed an older versiion of W800 and R1K and now is working.. but headset profile can be changed only after reboot.
I'm very upset about this problem, and i cannot see any solution.. any solving way to make it as it was before.

i think it may be sony ericssons way of telling people not to change the firmware.

I finaly find out!
My headset driver went dead.. or... not functioning propperly.. in my first attempt to flash it i remember that the power went of for 2-3 secconds..
I this driver piece(..given fact that is verry very close to charger muff... ) broke it somehow...
If i'm sure? I cannot explain one black dot on the case... exact in that spot.

Go to SE dealer and negociate warranty or service payment...

i read on another forum it's a software error, if you upgrade to the latest r1aa08 it should be fine.
