Hello!!!

I've just realised that I've got too much time on my hands, and I felt like turning two of these coin banks:

into a set of powered speakers (or just a set of regular speakers with a power source that I can store within the blocks) that I could use with my iPod, I've scoured google, and I can't find any good guides for beginners, does anyone know of any guides, or is willing to get me started?

If it matters, I've got a soldering iron, and access to acid etching for PCBs, so I *could* make one from scratch, but I don't trust my destructive hands.

Thanks!!

your right, you do have way too much time on your hands, pay £10 buy a set and take them apart till your hearts content.

But that's not as fun!!

Ahhh, this takes me back to my college days

Here's a circuit diagram and small tutorial:

And here's where you buy the bits:

I suggest you use breadboard to build the circuit on rather than etching your own PCB's, it's easier to play about and modify stuff that way!
