Please help - Need to rebrand orange C905 in UK (futue warning to others) |

Hey people, after looking for about 2 weeks trying to find a solution to unbrand my phone, I finally found one, which was changing my CDA on my phone by using the customize_upgrade.xml (with the Western , CDA) which debranded my phone nicely.
Was so glad to get rid of all the orange S*** that was flooded all over my phone and was made up with my phone until the ear peice speaker out of blue, cut off.
For obvious reasons I want my phone RE-BRANDED to the original firmware. I took notes of my phone identifcation details before the update which are.
C905- Orange UK Phones 4 u
Software details

CDA = 1208-0449
CDF = 1210-4327
Firmware version =
R1BA034
081002

I have tryed to customize my own Customize_upgrade.xml by replacing the CDA. but EVERY attempt to update my phone, says i have the latest version.
Does anybody know if i am doing somthing wrong? please help.

Only way to do it now is using some online flasher.

Try to use a CDA that you know will not apple any branding to the phone, and then run SEUS when it asks to flash it again, do so. It might flash the same version, but with no branden. In my experience sometimes it is needed to do a master (option 'all') reset to get the customize_upgrade.xml to work properly. Try these things before paying an online service. It should be save and is free.

Hey guys, GOOD NEWS, I finally got my phone back to my original firmware  so now, TECHNICALLY my phone isnt void from its warrenty and i can now happily return my phone for a straight swap due to the faulty ear peice.
After a LOT !!!!!!! of searching around, a few hours of play & downloading multiple firmwares. it turned out good in the end.
I changed the CDA to carphone warehouse UK, and it updated fine. but when i changed the cda back to the orange UK, it would say i already have the latest version.
So in the end, i manually via a2uploader, installed a french version of orange firmware R1BA034. ( my pohne came up with an error saying contact customer service ). i ran SEMC. updated it through that and it found my original CDA UK ORANGE.
and now its all working  . thanks everybody |

using A2 uploader copy this file Customize.xml from this location \\tpa\\preset\\custom
keep this file Customize.xml in a safe place for backup purposes incase your in that situation again & you wanna revert back to this CDA version.
Then all you have to do is just rename the file that you
backed up from the phone, from Customize.xml to customize_upgrade.xml
and upload that to your phone using A2 uploader. |
