Very loud speaker!

Pros
The phone looks good, its very thin, feels great to hold, the slider is very secure, it doesn't wobble at all. The D-pad is very comfortable to use, the buttons are well spaced apart whilst being tactile and comfortable to press. The keyboard isn't that bad, keys are well spaced apart and it's very easy to text. But the main feature of the W580i is the Walkman player, the sound quality is very good, the phone's loudspeaker is very impressive, its located under the D-pad and it's literally the loudest sound I have ever heard from a mobile phone. You could select a playlist, set it to max volume and literally use it as a party speaker its so loud! It can be made even louder with modding, but even in the original acoustics there is no distortion even at max volume.

Cons
The keys are bound to crack, the 2MP FF camera is one of the worst you can get in a phone, it's really not meant for camera use. The very loud speaker is sometimes very irritating: alarms can wake up the whole house or even hotels, it's so loud! It's horrible waking up to something that sounds like a jet engine every day.

Conclusion
It's a cheap phone with quite a lot of features at very slim size and if you want to annoy people with very loud music it's a must-buy; it's easily much louder than the Nokia 5800XM. I recommend you buy the phone, it's great apart from the camera, it has lots of fitness apps, if you want the light-effects to look good buy the white version. Even if you don't want it you should listen to it at full volume, it'll burst your eardrums!

4 (out of 5)

Surprising features for this price

Pros
Thin, light and the rockin' fitness apps

Cons
No flashlight, battery life

Conclusion
Go for it! It's a more simple version of the great W910i, but for its price, W580 sounds amazing!

so thin

Pros
verry thin design
like the changing colors when the pohone is slide open easy to use
when u buy it there is a memory stick with it from 512 mb that's good you don't have to buy one later and that's not the case with the s500

Cons
the slide function is not so firm the
hope it doesn't have the same bug as the S500 with the buttons

Conclusion
very clean and thin phone the grey version is pretty to
beter screen than my w550i

Verdict
4 (out of 5)
