A week before the Mobile World Congress opens, and a rush of announcements will occure, Sony Ericsson announces the mid-range C903 Cyber-shot model

Sony Ericsson C903 is a Cyber-shot model which is the name of Sony Ericssons camera phone range. The C903 has a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus, Smile Shutter, Face detection, flash and Image stabilizer. C903 also has aGPS built in for geo-tagging of captured photo and Google Maps and Wayfinder Navigator included.

Face Detection will let the camera find up to three people in the frame at a time and Smile Shutter will automatically pick out beaming smiles. Snap up to nine images in quick succession using BestPic, where you pick your best and delete the rest.

Something new from Sony Ericsson is the TV-out function where it is possible to connect the C903 to a TV screen and use that for output. It does not seem like the C903 comes with a printed user manual, only a e-manual on the phone.

C903 Cyber-shot is a quad-band model and support the following networks; 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSPA 900/2100. C903 will be available in selected markets from Q2 with the colours Black, White and Red.

"No WiFi again WHY?"

Because it's not that class of phone. Should every mobile phone ever produced be supplied with every conceivable function, or should we have the option of buying a phone to suit our needs. If you want Wi-Fi, then buy different phone.

More of the same thing by SE. They've done what most ppl complained about Nokia ... rehashing the same thing in a different case. Excluding 1-3 features from one to the next in each of the 3 releases. Sure they're saving money and keeping in the press spotlights for a few moments but this will NOT help revenues.

Love the phone, nice colour (Orange)- Makes me wonder how does the Black one look like.... Almost a perfect phone... But No Xenon flash, no 3.5mm audio jack, no Wi-Fi, still 2.4 inch Screen- Definitely not good enough!
The fact that SE is not putting a Xenon Flash with a 5-Megapixel camera doesn't quite make sense to me.... How can you expect to get near-perfect pictures at Night as you would in Daylight??? I'm sure the screen is as vivid as the K850i but it would've been better if it was a 2.6 at least...
But it looks nice though.

this is insane! come on SE!
put one with Wi-Fi
3.5mm audio jack
never mind the touchscreen I love your easy UI
and the xenon flash

...again... so almost perfect phone
if you can't learn, i will hate you! don't let your solid fans despise you

Looks nice, but the specification is terribly out of date, its basically still a K850i.

And where is the Wifi and Xenon Flash? Why only 2.4" screen?

Comeon SE, Mid range should have 2.6" screen by now and high end at least 2.8".

The LG KM900 arena just eats current SE phones alive.

I just felt in love with this phone and its design... But no Wi-Fi... The name should be C803, this isn't such a high end...

@ Berka I have a deja-vu too... Your SEMC Blog comment?!? xD

Not another one of these again. Come next year, SE will be 6 feet under. R.I.P
