Sony Ericsson presents 4 new phone models
1 March 2005 by Olav Hellesø-Knutsen Today, Sony Ericsson announced four new phone models. J300, W800 Walkman phone, K750 and K300. The W800 is the first Walkman branded phone from Sony Ericsson. The Sony Ericsson W800 is one of the first products to combine a mobile phone, a high quality digital music player with up to 30 hours’ battery life, and a 2 Megapixel camera. All of this is packaged in a slim, lightweight device with ultra-stylish design. Storage capacity is also plentiful as the supplied 0,5GB Memory Stick Duo gives capacity for around 150 music tracks, or 10-12 full length CDs from the user’s existing CD collection. The W800 battery performance will let you play your mp3's for 15 hours if the phone is swithced on, or up to 30 hours if it isn't. Sony Ericsson J300 is unique as it provides a 3D gaming engine and easy downloads of video clips, games and ringtones at an entry-level price. "If you are looking for a fresh new phone at a thrifty price, you don’t need to be restricted only to basic games," says Jan Wäreby, Corporate Executive, Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing of Sony Ericsson. Sony Ericsson also announced the K750 today. A 2 Megapixel imaging phone that captures the sharpest, clearest pictures with superb colour reproductino for printing, sharing and viewing. "Nowadays 65% of Sony Ericsson’s consumers are choosing phones with cameras in them, which shows that there is significant demand for phones to be used as imaging tools," says Jan Wäreby, Corporate Executive, Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing of Sony Ericsson. "What’s more we are successfully applying Sony’s imaging expertise to the development of camera phones, a key example of this being the S700, which is receiving awards for its imaging capabilities time after time. The K750 builds on this, and given the enthusiastic response to our imaging products we have already received from the market, we fully expect it to be an outright winner." Following on from the success of last year’s S700, Sony Ericsson has once again built upon the colossal imaging know-how of its parent company Sony Corporation. The K750 is rich with features that are now common in stand alone digital cameras but new to mobile phones, such as Autofocus, 4x digital zoom, red eye reduction and an intuitive user interface. The K750 can store nearly 100 full size pictures on the 32MB internal memory, and up to 6,000 shots on a 2BG Memory Stick Duo card. We have written about the entry level model Sony Ericsson K300 before. As we predicted then, this model has a 128x128 pixel display, tri-band network, 85gr, video recording, 12MB memory, JAVA, GPRS, WAP 2.0, MMS and more. Now everyone can enjoy picture and video messaging with a phone that is very simple to use," says Jan Wäreby, Corporate Executive, Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing of Sony Ericsson. "The K300 has many functions previously only seen in higher end phones so it's perfect for capturing and sharing special moments, delivers fast and smooth entertainment applications and is also a highly useful work tool" K300 will be available in shops Q1 2005. J300 and K750 will be available in Q2 2005. Comments On 26 Apr 13:37 babajidesonyericsson wrote true On 8 Apr 02:10 Dude wrote Need to turn on the beam for 10 minutes then try it.
