24 October 2011 by
Dag Kittlaus, the previously CEO and one of the co-founders of Siri has decided to leave Apple. Siri is an intelligent search feature found in the new iPhone 4S which has received tributes from most of the technology media

One of the most interesting things about the new iPhone 4S was Siri, the personal assistant. The previously standalone iPhone app which Apple bought as late as October last year is now integrated into iOS 5 but will only run on iPhone 4S.

Dag KittlausApple has been rumored to pay over $200 million for Siri. The initially investments into the Siri company was $24 million. The Siri co-founder Dag Kittlaus is a Norwegian like our self, and has previously worked for Telenor Mobil, Motorola Mobile where he founded and developed the Screen3 mobile app.

According to allthingsD, Dag Kittlaus left the current position as director, iOS at Apple. The departure happened just after the iPhone 4S announcement and it has been planed for a while. There are no hard feelings from either parts regarding the departure. Kittlaus wanted to spend more time with his family living in Chicago and continue the innovation of future products. We are guessing Kittlaus has received his share of the $200 million and people like him often invest such money in future projects.
