Combination of ACCESS’ NetFront Browser and Samsung SGH-Z130 3G Handset Delivers Advanced Mobile Browsing Experience.

ACCESS Co Ltd a global provider of mobile content delivery and Internet access technologies, announced that its NetFront® browser has been integrated in Samsung’s new SGH-Z130 3G handset developed for the European mobile market. The SGH-Z130 deployment is a collaboration originating from ACCESS and Samsung’s recently announced global partnership.

The NetFront browser provides SGH-Z130 end users with the ability to browse the full Internet. This function perfectly complements the SGH-Z130’s advanced multimedia features that include a unique rotating, wide-view, high-resolution LCD screen, 1-megapixel camera, and support for 64 polyphonic ring tones and the MP3, AAC, and AAC+ music formats. The handset supports the 2100Mhz UMTS 3G band as well as the 900/1800Mhz GSM bands.

“The SGH-Z130 is one of the most innovative 3G handsets on the market today, and ACCESS’ advanced NetFront browser technology extends this innovation by providing a comprehensive mobile Internet browsing experience," said CHULHWAN LEE, of Samsung. “ACCESS and Samsung will continue to collaborate to bring advanced mobile Internet browsing solutions to mobile end-users throughout the world."

“The combination of Samsung’s advanced SGH-Z130 3G handset and NetFront browser delivers a rich, full Internet browsing experience to mobile users in Europe," said Toru Arakawa, president and CEO of ACCESS. “We’re pleased that the SGH-Z130 marks another significant milestone in ACCESS and Samsung’s global partnership."

ACCESS’ NetFront browser is recognized as one of the most advanced and popular mobile browsers in the world with over 164 million deployments in Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific. It was the first mobile browser to be deployed for a commercial 3G service, and it continues to be a leading choice of mobile operators deploying next-generation mobile services throughout the world. It is a proven solution with a comprehensive feature-set that supports full Internet mobile browsing.

NetFront browser supports OMA Browsing 2.2, WML, HTML 4.01, and cHTML and features unique technologies like Rapid-Render™, an incremental rendering technology that significantly accelerates the presentation of Web pages, and Smart-Fit Rendering™, a rendering technology that intelligently renders Web pages to fit the screen width of mobile devices, eliminating the need for horizontal scrolling. NetFront is also the only mobile browser in the world to provide integrated support for Adobe® Reader™ LE and Adobe’s ubiquitous portable document format (PDF).For more information: www.access.co.jp  or  www.access-us-inc.com
