Prototype of Microvision’s Mobile Phone Projector

21 September 2006 by axxxr
Alexander Tokman of Microvision has developed a miniature laser based projector display, called "PicoP." This projector is small enough to fit inside your phone and can display a laptop-sized quality image on surfaces just half a meter away.

PicoP is being designed to be embedded inside portable mobile devices such as a mobile phones or a PDA.This is a response to inquiries to Microvision from hand-set manufacturers who are looking at adding a “big screen" experience for users of mobile personal devices.

PicoP is currently targeted to deliver WGA or SVGA resolution and can achieve about approximatly 20 lumens. The user can display a laptop-sized quality image on surfaces just half a meter away, or project a larger image onto the ceiling of their dark hotel room. more information here:microvision

I hope SE would include this to their high-end phone. It has been a long time since they released a feature-pack phone that was beyond the norm.

Fingers crossed!
