New Surveillance System Monitored by Mobile Phone

24 July 2004 by axxxr
Users can control up to 10,000 cameras with the phone. If an unauthorized person enters a secure area, the system calls your phone and sends you a picture of the intruder.

The FOMA-compatible image monitoring system is connected to surveillance terminals placed in buildings, parking lots, hotels and other locations. Users can monitor images sent from the terminals with the screen on a FOMA handset. They can also remotely control up to 10,000 cameras that are connected within the monitoring network.

When a suspicious person enters a monitored place, the system automatically makes a phone call to a designated FOMA handset and sends the captured image to the handset. Its image format is MPEG-4 with a resolution of 352 x 240 pixels.
