At CeBIT, Siemens Communications launches the M75, a robust GSM mobile phone that offers all the convenience of a modern multimedia mobile phone for outdoor communication; the solid metal frame and rubber cushions of the unique Siemens Protection System provide the optimum protection against splashes, dust and shocks. This successor to the M65 features a 1.3 megapixel digital camera and a bright color display, as well as a media player for viewing photos or videos and listening to music via the MP3 player. A further highlight is the optional Mobile Music Set, the speaker set for a music experience with highquality sound on the move .

Anyone whose job or hobby takes them out and about a lot will find the Siemens M75 to be a robust and versatile mobile communications companion. The dust and splash protection of this high-quality outdoor mobile phone was developed in compliance with stringent international standards (IP54). The M75 is also optimally protected from shocks with the Siemens Protection System: rubber cushions reinforce the sides of the housing and an integrated aluminium frame provides enhanced rigidity. Especially sensitive areas such as the integrated camera and the connectors for the battery and external antenna are additionally protected with detachable rubber seals. Despite its rugged design, the M75 weighs only 110 grams and has dimensions of 110 x 52 x 20 mm.

This new outdoor model from Siemens is also a fully fledged multimedia mobile phone. The M75's high-quality digital camera (1.3 megapixels) is always on hand to capture  memorable experiences to share with friends and family. Thanks to its flash attachment, even a nighttime photo safari is possible. Photos and video clips together with music tracks in MP3 or AAC format are stored on interchangeable multimedia cards, creating highly portable photo albums and music collections. Using the built-in media player, friends can comfortably view photos and video clips on the large high-resolution TFT color display (262,000 colors, 132 x 176 pixels), while stay-at-home friends and family can be sent brief greetings from on the road as a multimedia message (MMS) or e-mail. For sending messages to a number of recipients all at once, the M75 supports either short text messages via instant messaging or Push and Talk, the new walkie-talkie function for mobile phones. Special buttons along the sides of the M75 make this very simple to use.

The Mobile Music Set IMS-700 is available as an optional accessory and transforms the M75 into a stereo system which can be easily transported and offers excellent audio quality with its active HiFi speakers. 3D games are also available to use. A wireless Bluetooth connection even allows several players to participate in multiplayer matches.

The M75 is supplied with a 32 megabyte multimedia card and stereo headphones. Alongside the mobile speaker set there is a wide range of further original Siemens accessories available such as an attachable flash, a choice of in-car hands-free solutions, a variety of headsets as well as divers chargers, data cables and phone cases. The M75 is available from June 2005 in the colors "volcano black" and "safari green". www.siemens.com/communications
