There better be QVGA recording - I'm not convinced enough as it is - just an upgraded k800i in my eyes - I know that sounds stupid but it doesn't seem to be offering that many new features. WiFi would've been very welcome.

Well for those who haven't been observant to Sony Ericsson lately... the next generation of sony ericsson phones will use Java 8. And I am certain this is one of them... Why am I? Because:
A) They don't have back key
B) They have a call / end key
C) This don't have back key and have call/end key is the same for Z750, which will be using Java 8
As for selecting the option keys... I really don't know. But for some reason, i think u are supposed to click that spot area and u press the entire keypad
(Like for instance, you want left option, you press near the left key light and you will be pressing the entire keypad over call/task list key)

SonyEricson showing off it's lameness yet again by completely ignoring the North American market... How long is it going to take for them to realize that they should make a quad-band GSM with tri-band HSDPA? HTC realized it and released a world phone already - the TyTN has just about every band and frequency + b/g WIFI, while SE is still messing around with crappy tri-band...

typical SE. Totally missing the boat. It was claimed that these phones were the "next big thing" quite a claim considering you could buy a 5mp nokia phone.... today. Only difference is that the nokia in question boasts far better optics AND far more internal memory. I bet stingy SE won't even throw in a decent memory card with it either. VERY POOR INDEED. I challenge anyone to disagree with me!!!!

i don't see any small round metal beside the lens...as a mirror for my own portrait shot! or maybe bec the back of the phonecam is shiny, can be used as a mirror.
if the internal camera can be used for one's own portrait, fair enough (unless it's also a 5mp too, not vga...)

this phone is AWESOME!!!! it's definitely the best phone ever, the only one that comes near is the nokia n95 but this one is way better because the UI is nicer, the design is better, it doesn't have double slider = increased phone durability and it has a REAL XENON FLASH!! like in digital cameras not like that little led flash on the n95. I LOVE IT!!!! can't wait to have it ;)

Mmmm, this might be the rightfull succesor of my K800i (k810i wasn't). It's time to renew my contract, but I don't even know if I'll be able to get it with a contract soon, damn. Well I might just wait another year and get a W610i or another K800i instead on KPN network (Nehterlands). KPN phones are hardly or not at all branded and as a mather of fact, I'm still very satisfied with my K800i, and should be able to wait for 12 months and get the K850i about a 100 euro's cheaper (wisdom speaking, but my mind tells me to get the K850 as soon as possible, aaaargh). Stupid thing is, phone-companies always advertise with 24 month-contracts, but if the phone is what you're after, a 12 month-contract is much more economical for the customer. Do the maths before you choose, and don't just go for the 24 month-contracts. These are NOT the best deals.

True, phones weren't supposed to have GPS in them, if you want that, buy a TomTom or a PDA, this phone is jam-packed with features at the moment anyway!! Very nice mobile. Will be looking to buy it soon.

I quite like the design--the keypad is ok & I'm loving the fact that it's not using a joystick but I'm going to miss the back button. The back looks good. What about the media player & the camera interface?

i like the look of the new k850 its got to be the best yet with a 5 meg camera with a bit of colour in it i always have SE they are more interesting i have had samsung phones and have found once yu know where everything is there is nothing else to explore and nokia are ti complicated i like the n95 but dont fancy it
