This is NOT the first SE slider. The first SE slider was the Japanese W31S released about 2 years ago. Despite that this 850 looks great !!!

i think the author meant that being the first Walkman-branded phone to support on-line/OTA music download, it could give a boost or accelerates on-line/OTA music download.

Really, why would anyone get W850i? To pay for musics u can download for free on your computer? To have better mediaplayer and worst camera than w800/w810? Its much better to get w810 which is much cheaper and have better cam or k800i which has hardware and system improvements of w850 , plus a 3.2mpx cam and plus a mp3 player that works alright. I´m really disappointed with this all new SE marketing that downgrades funcions in newer models in order to make them more ´specialized´. If i wanted something specialized i would have got an ipod or a real cybershot cam. It doesnt make much sense. Mobile phones r only cool if they r all-in-one devices, besides that u´d be better of buying a proper device.

The walkman app looks cool, but really it's a stupid design.
You're going to be continuously downloading new mp3s .. and then you just want to play those mp3s, right?
That won't work. First you will have to indivually add each mp3 to a playlist, because it doesn't allow you to play all files in a folder.

o2 online have the w850i in black available now, 3 also have the phone available in black...phones for you have it available in both colours however they have just sold onut of white on 3 so the white one is on vodafone (im well chuffed got the last white on 3 :) )

Just got this handset on 3, absolutely great so far. much better without the joystick thing. Salling clicker works, although seem to be struggling to get it to work as a 3g modem..
All things that should sort themselves out with a bit more reading and effort.
It might be a bit thick for some people, but i'm a big fan so far.
