If it shows up as unknown I would think there is something wrong with the filename-extension. Are you sure its named "filename.3gp"?

Your topictitle is wrong
Its not a k750 problem, K750 plays .3gp and .mp4 files just fine.
Most likely the nokia is screwing the files up when sending them via BT.
Or the guy with the nokia is sending the wrong files, or theres some branding problem.

there is nothing wrong with the file, the file appears in the others folder on the k750, you can send it on but you cant play it, my friend sent it on from his k750 to my 6600 and it worked fine on the 6600, just not the k750

If it appears in the others folder then its not a .3gp or .mp4 file, files are only placed in the others folder if they have an unknown file extension. If it were a .3gp file it would be placed under videos even if it had a resolution or bitrate not supported by K750. It would not play but it would still be placed in the videofolder based on the file extension.

Might be some other type of videofile allthough I wonder what if it plays on the n6230. The 6600 being a smartphone can play other types of video like realmedia.

Send the file to a pc and investigate the exact fileextension of the file, and the content of the file.

Is the K750 branded in any way ? Like vodafone or something ?
Could be some branding requiring DRM (Digital Rights Management) of the file, dunno about all brandings but typically Vodafone is bad.

My girlfriend have a 6230i so we did a test now. She sent me a video-clip recorded on her phone to my K750i using BT. It worked just fine.. noe problem.

Her fw on 6230i is V3.30 and my K750i is R1L002.

We also tried the other way. With a video taken with fw R1A044 on K750i (the one with highest bitrate) and it played just fine on 6230i.

Must be somthing wrong with your files there.

Like I said before and Numb said here... if your files are 3gp or mp4 files it will be placed automaticly in the videos folder. When I did the test now at the end of the transfer it said "saved in videos folder, play now?"

Exactly, there should be no problem

#solidsingh

You must somehow (unknowingly) be giving wrong information, please send the file from the k750 to a computer and investigate filetype properly.

You need to verify which filetype it is and give that info, otherwise we are all just playing guesswork.

well, there you have it
If it does not have the proper fileextension the K750 do not know what it is and wont play it, even if it is in fact a 3gp file.
