I suggest he signs up here and tell us all how he managed to do such an incredible job to his phone.
I'm sure we all are dying to hear it!
(Or maybe not... He better stay away; He'd be flamed to hell and back)

seems very unlikely unless he some how fitted the k750 camera to the k700 motherboard and programmed the k700 software to work with that camera. i dont think so! maybe he just put it on extended quality (or whatever you call it). the 1.23 megapixel setting.

here's what you can do to verify your friend's claim: take a picture from his phone, transfer it to a pc, then get the resolution of the image... from there you can tell if he's lying or not...

On the other hand, if that person has access to the source code of the firmware, he/she could expand the resolution of the image to 2MP after capturing the data from the CMOS sensor of the camera... 2MP indeed, but since it came from a 1.3MP sensor, it's a fake 2MP image...

The K700 camara is just a vga (640x480) camera. With help of the software it achieves a quality of a comparable 1.3mp. Him saying a 2mp is nonsens. Ask him if he believes that crap himself he is telling you, because you do not!

the 1.3 megapixel mode on the K700 is enhanced, you can do the same thing better on a vga image in photoshop. The k700i ccd is vga (640x480) only.
You could theoretically enhance the resolution (using photshop) to 5 megapixel's, but the basic details missed by the vga ccd can never be added no matter what you do. So any "enhanced" image is really just software smoothing to remove the pixelation effect, it doesn't add any data to the image.
And the K750 firmware will not run on a K700!!!!
Nor can you swap cam's. The cam features (like autofocus) are hardware based - you cannot update the firmware of the cam controller chip - it is hardwired. The K700 would not have the circuitry to run a K750 camera (how would you focus the unit for example?)
