Ah finally, some do praise 7210 in this forum
Yeah, 7210 is awesome. And 6610 is even better (classier, very pure and simple design. The white shell has this kind of chameleon color like we used to see on e.g. 6110, which gives it trendy reflections)! But ok, these are my personal opinion.
7210's keypad has nothing difficult to use, actually, the keys are very well placed, much closer to the thumb than traditional keypads in fact. Though the only thing I don't like is the up arrow, a bit difficult in my mind.
Now, 6610's keypad has a perfect size.
They're a bit longer than 8310, but the size is really perfect. It feels good in the hand, it has a huge, bright and crisp screen. When looking at my old 8310, the 8310 looks too small
Also 7210 and 6610 have 2 uplink timeslots for GPRS, like all GPRS phones from Nokia as far as I've seen. This is just sooo good! Well 100% faster than SE or Motorola or Siemens or Philips or... phones to send something like MMS for instance
Ah btw, check this out for some midi ringtones! Quite cool! There's some Santana, Gorillaz, Kylie Minogue etc etc. The one I like most is definitely Ghostbusters!

OK, 7210/6610 have larger & brighter screens. BUT :
* They don't support animated gifs
* They don't support Bluetooth
* The pop port feature is new and not yet spead on other devices
* Still same bloody Nokia menus, only difference : it is in color
* Everybody is gonna have the same 7210 phone in one year
* Polyphonic / midi tones may sound good, but it's very hard to hear them when there's a lot of noise
Just think about it before replacing your T68!

You can definitely very well hear the polyphonic midi ringtones, at least as far as what I've heard from 7210!! And for reference, go to Korea and Japan, you won't find traditional ringtones at all. 'was there two years ago, and I was impressed by these nice musics Europe is late in this respect, but is catching up.
And midi ringtones are so much less annoying than traditional ringtones... I still haven't understood why people keep on putting the volume of their phone at the maximum while there's the vibrating function! People usually don't seem to care about others.
Anyway, I'm currently using .wav files today with my communicator as ringtone, i.e. it plays normal music, and you can hear it quite well. |

hi guys, i have a swedish friend that has got some contacts whit nokia and he had a quick test whit the 7210 and he said that the navigation buttons are very bad alsow the if you want to send an SMS the buttons on the outside are not that good, even when you use T9. and it feels like a piece of plastic. only the colour screen is good but not in the daylight. |

long live T68! still the king! it has forced nokia to come up with phones like 6610, 7210, 7650. tho' just like what everone said... still the old nokia menu.... that crashes like 8310. imagine the t68 being a year ahead... a year older than all those mentioned colored nokias.... and those nokias still cannot totally compete with t68!

What about the T68, do you think ericsson would have made such a model, design wise and with an internal antenna, if it wasn't for nokia?

every new nokia that comes out has some defect or bugs. the philippines is nokia country and the only country in the world where nokia has sold more units than any country on earth. i can see here that mostly nokia phones easily breaks down, the repair rate of nokia is 8-10% while it's competitors (ericsson, samsung, motorola etc.) is just only 3% done by an european survey group. to bad most of my countrymen still think nokia is a good buy and a quality product. 6610 and 7210 are good phones but they lack almost all of the features of the t68i. not a good value for money and their only great point is more color on the screen. polyphonic tones sounds good but when outdoors you can't hear it especially in malls where there are lots of people. go ahead guys waste your money on these feeble products. |

I've owned nokias before and I've never experienced any bugs or other difficulties with them(5110,6110,3310,8210,8850), but my brother has a 8310 which is like nothing but trouble. And the 8310 is the only phone from nokia I've heard about that has this much reported flaws. Still have'nt heard one bad thing about the 7650. So I see no reason in proclaming that the 7210 and 6610 will filled with bugs and other shit! Sometimes it really seems like alot of you guys ar SE employees or just bought off.

Don't get me wrong I'm not a huge nokia fan and I love my T68, but I do try to keep an open mind. The 6610 and 7210's advances over the T68 in numerous ways like bigger and better screen, more colours, polyphonic ringtones, exchangeable covers, stereo radio, java and faster menus. For me that is more important then blutooth and animated gifs.
