Hi
I bought an ipod mini a couple of months ago thinking that 4gb was enough. I was wrong, and now I haven't got much memory left.
I've found out a way to delete songs using iTunes DISPLAY IPOD OPTIONS > MANUALLY MANAGE SONGS AND PLAYLISTS.
I was really chuffed, so I decided to put more songs on. But, to my horror, I was unable to find a way to ad the tracks once you are under the "Manually manage songs and playlists setting". So, I had to put all my other songs back onto the iPod and I was back at square one with hardley any memory left. How do I delete somgs off the iPod, but also add songs when I want to aswell?
Thanks
Jontyf

Drag and drop!!

In iTunes, simply drag the tunes you want on your iPod from the Library or a Playlist onto the iPod icon in the list on the left-hand side.

You can also make a Smart Playlist to automatically make a selection of music less than 4gb big and set that to be the only Playlist that updates on the iPod.

All i do is i right click the song i want to delete then i send the songs i want to add to itunes and update manually

Easy as that

Why not sell the 4gb and add a few quid to get a 20gb

You can get them fairly cheap now

Yep thats true, they only a few quid extra now. I just sold my ipod on ebay for £170. (4th gen 20gb) Now when i go to america in a few weeks i'll pick up a photo ipod for like the same price!

Either the 30gb if i find stores still with them.

Or the new ones (All are now colour screen... iPod, iPod U2 etc). But these are only 20gb or 60gb.

It seems I have another problem!
Now that I am running on manuel selection, I can't get the playcount to update onto iTunes (The plays from the Pod are not going on to iTunes).
How do I get it to update?
Im in a bit a bad position (im going on holiday at 4.00 am tommorow) so If anyone has an answer, it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Jontyf
