Thump your fist down when you feel the pain!!!!
I'm lucky, I've only got one filling and that was nerve wracking enough!

Edit: Take some Kalms tablets with you to chill you out. It's always worse if you are stressed out before you even arrive! They really do work.

Well failing that, smoke a big fat one before you go in!

Edit: Kalms are herbal they don't affect the injection.

Why don't you visit the dentist and get them to go through the procedure with you? They will give you another injection if it wears off, it's just hell trying to drink afterwards with wubbery wips

Yes, none of them was out so he had to cut in the gum, it leaves 4 big holes but that's all, of course you have those wires (don't know how you call that) which they will get off after a while.

Don't have to worry, you just have a blood taste for some days and you can't really use your teeths from the back but like I said, I could eat solid after 48 hours.

My "holes" took around 6 months to "fill up" but after the 1st one you won't really notice it. That's all I can see on what is bad about the operation

I once had it done, but it was only a cople of teeth being pulled out, all they did was inject my gum on both sides, that bit hurt the most, then they just sort of pulled them out, it was so painless I didnt knwo they ahd done it,

I once stood by while somebody's wisdom teeth were extracted, lending moral support, etc. It's relatively quick, over in minutes and doesn't hurt more than extracting any other tooth. Lie back, relax if possible and think happy thoughts...

I had my two lower impacted wisdom teeth done on Saturday (16th) so am still recovering. However, it was absolutely fine, and i've been back to work for two days.

The sedation they used was amazing! I remember going in and having an injection in my hand, and everything after that until i got home is a bit of a blur. So far, there has been no severe pain, just slight discomfort and you really have to think about what you're eating. I wasn't really aware at any time of them cutting my gums or anything. I can't stress how easy the operation was, and how good the drugs they give you are. Sedation is the way to go.

The pain i had from the teeth before they were removed, was far far worse than having them out.

You'll be fine, go for it. Good luck!

it will most probably hurt, but it is never as bad as you imagine it will be

i had 4 teeth out as i had over crowding and needed them taking out before i had my brace fitted

i had one tooth taken out from each corner of my mouth, then my brace was fitted (train tracks)

i went throught alot of pain i will admit, but now i love the dentist

i know that sounds mad but it doesnt hurt anymore because i had that much done to my teeth i just dont care anymore

i was pretty lucky aswell i have all my wisdom teeth i got them when i was 15-16, they caused me no pain at all
