When I unplugged my telly I noticed the plug was covered in a green gel, I was wondering if anyone knew what this green gel is? |

If The sockets are made of copper, then it combines with moisture to produce it. That should be very less in quantity.

maybe its alien residue. You know sometimes when they enter your house they feel a bit tipsy when they see there sockets- reminds them of home- thus they always try to (this portion has been censored by the leader of the alien race- a mod) . . . This the green sticky smelly wet dripy thing .
its not gel- its from hell- its not bad- its sad- its not nuts- its from alien butts

To the topic: pl. Look for invisible minor sparking. If that, due to slight loose contact, can be avoided, it will be better.
