@786KBR
Actually the SCPL will be thinner by .6cm, .25 inch = 6.35cm and the Samsung is 6.9cm thick with a lump at the top.
Still, I think that 'thin' has gone a little overboard.

They should start doing a fat chunky range.

$40 was just a prediction, and IMO there's going to be a premium charged for the thinness. I doubt that it'll have a camera (or maybe just a really pathetic one) and it'll have some pretty bad specs, but it will definitely be priced at at over 100 pounds.

I reckon it'll have the same camera as in the V3i a 1.23mp on a phone for next year thatll be low end.

If Scalpel is what posted by axxxr, it's no longer the thinnest phone in the world because Samsung Ultra Edition 6.9 mm a.k.a. X820 already beaten it in the thinnest.
Besides, $40 is impossible for that specs (QVGA Display, Bluetooth, 512 MB Memory etc.)

i still like samsung's thin phones because they're not just thin, they're packed with features. like the X820, it has a nice camera and many other features. |
