I hope no one minds me making a new topic out of this as the other one seems to have degenerated into a flame war (I'll post the link there as well as this is quite important imo), hope no one minds the 'double' post.

The Metropolitan Police has asked Londoners who took pictures or recorded video clips during the bombings to help them with their investigation.
An e-mail address, images@met.police.uk, has been set up for the public to send in their photographs or footage at
Peter Clarke, head of Scotland Yard anti-terrorist branch, said: "This was a callous and cowardly attack on members of the public.
"These images may contain crucial information which may help detectives in this complex and painstaking inquiry."
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Brian Paddick said police had received 1,700 calls to their anti-terrorist hotline.
He said: "A considerable number of these calls are proving to be very, very valuable to us."
