Check in Control Panel->Text Imput if you are using the correct keyboard layout.
QUERTZ is an alternative layout for QUERTY.

If it's not there...
I remember after a Master Reset the OS asks what type of keyboard you have. I'm not sure where you can change that setting in control panel.
Anyone?

I know I'm bumping an old thread, but does anyone know how to flip it on the M600i?
I bought a German M600i and after latest fw install, I set it for Swedish but the keyboard still has the QWERTZ-layout

I gave up on that. I also have a QWETZ keypad (that's french f@acking layout, which btw, I hate!) because I think mine was originally bought in France. I use it because beside this and some little puctuation is the same thing. In your case, you have my layout but the software is for QWERTY and that's good cuz you can use it normal.

Here,

Open up notepad, paste in the single following line:
gdfswrite:000206d500000000

and save it as P1A_Zebra_R8_CCPU_GDFS_QWERTY_keyboard_settings.gdfs

backup your GDFS first with XS++ and then use the script with XS++. I havn't used the script personally but if you really want it gone, use that script. But please backup the GDFS first.

Or, Davinci, kulankendi can also do it for a fee.
