Can I link my K750i to Mac via USB cable? |

Stupid question which has probably already been answered elsewhere, but can anyone tell me how I link my K750i to my G4 Mac using just the bundled USB cable? Can it be done, or do I need to buy a bluetooth adaptor?
Thanks for any help! |

ahm, just plug ur cable in to the usb port on the mac and the usb port on the phone (not sure if it's the fast port or a mini usb port - read your manual). If I know mac, you should get an drive icon appear on your desktop for the phones contents.
Bluetooth is wireless, and has nothing to do with a cable usb connection. So no, you don't need to turn bluetooth on to use the cable. Completely separate connection methods. |

I tried this and nothing comes up. If I go into system profiler on the mac, the phone is listed as a device but will not come up onto the desktop as an icon. |

yes it sounds very much like the k750 isn't a true "thumb drive". This is very disappointing. The only hope (sorry) is that your cable is stuffed or your personal K750i is faulty somehow - then atleast it can be fixed.

my mac recognizes my k750 as a thumb drive.
it pops up as another removable drive. unfortunately, it sometimes triggers a kernel panic upon disconnection or connection. this should be fixed in 10.4.2 tho.
on a related note, its not the same case for me on windows. it forced me to install some drivers (including modem, etc) for me to be able to see it as a removable drive. |

My K750i has just been delivered so I will try and hook up to my iMac (G4 / 10.2.8) tonight when I get home.

@ martinport
I just tried this on my K750i at work and had no success either.
G4 867Mhz DP running 10.2.8
I can't see it working on my iMac at home then.

Ahh, I think in my case it is a software issue. I plugged into another machine here at work, running 10.3.7, and it worked fine.

Seeing as this isn't working via the USB cable, can I buy a Dongle and get it to work with my mac? I'm running 10.3 by the way.
I've never used a Dongle so don't know if I need more software in order for it to communicate. |

My SE 750i appears as a hardrive on the desktop of my G5 running 10.4.2.
Inside there are folders for different media. Only problem is that after I drag the disk to trash (eject) the computer crashes after a short while.
Does anyone know a fix for this? I have had the phone now for 23 hours
btw, this phone is awesome, the pic quality is outsanding. I think of it as a digital camera with a built-in phone
