I'm sitting here watching Live 8 at home on our big screen with the family and am totally in awe of what is going on
I just can't believe we haven't got a thread about this topic and indeed the only thing I can find about it here is that Nokia are supporting it... BIG DEAL!
The opening has been great with Paul McCartney doing Sgt Peppers with U2 followed by a set by U2 including Beautiful Day, One and a very moving speech by Bono.
I was very keen to be there and put about 10 or so texts in thinking that even if I didn't get any tickets at least I have contributed in some small way but just watching this now, its just magnificent and who would have thought that live aid of 20 years ago would ever be "bettered"?
words just fail me when I think of the significance of all this happening once again
