Pls, Help me to connect to internet. |
FierceChildhood Joined: Jan 20, 2005 Posts: 31 PM |
My mobile is SE K508i. It's ok when I used GPRS to connect to WAP.
But it's not ok when I connected to internet for to browse WEB page.
I've done :
- Connected SE K508i to laptop via infrared.
- Made a new internet connection used above connection(standard modem over IR link#3) and an ISP account.
- Dialed up to Internet.
But, after some modem signal, Windows displayed an error message :"Error 678: The remote computer did not response ..."
Pls, help me to solve this problem.
Thanks. |

Settings on SE K508i :
Connectivity -> Internet settings -> Internet profiles : Connect using GPRS (internet mode : http, ip address: of service provider) |

Great...to be able to connect to the internet on your pc/laptop using your phone as a modem, you need to have full web gprs active on your account...just basic gprs will not allow you to browse www websites on pc...it would help if you could find out and post what kind of access you have....
Step 2: check if your phone is set up correctly as a modem...go to control panel> phones and modems> select modem properties> diagnostics> query modem
You should get a box saying " communicating with modem"...when the query is complete...there will be a query log that will appear...scroll down to where you see "x" "server address", where "x" is the number you dial in the dialup code "*99***x#...use the code in your new dialup connection and you should be connected

To CaRMaN: I think that you had connected to internet, but could not browser the WEB page !?
In my case, I could not connect to internet (server of ISP).
There 2 phases when you want to browse web page :
The first : Connecting to server of ISP (dialup use the mobile as a modem).
The second : Using web browser (for example: IE) to browse pages on web sites.
Who have experienses of this, psl, help me !
