I found some Sony software to do the job. Here is a link to some info and a download http://www.sonydigital-link.c[....]ads/downloads.asp?l=en&f=MSFRM (Note pic showing 4GB MS ) I had a problem with a standard memory stick which would not format in camera - started format by windows but would not finish - tried camera again but format would not finish - is not recognised by sony formatting software... Help? Mick

Flash memory does have a limited ammount of read/write operations before failing. I would replace it under warranty.
