What is it with you lot and your Nokia vs obsession (and yes, I can see that that the title says S60 vs UIQ, but your nick and other posts kind of gives it away!)?

We have done this argument to death in every conceivable format, which you would soon find out if you would care to try the search, and then we wouldn't need to waste server space with all these duplicate threads

lol @dave_uk please dont tell me about the search because the esato search purely sucks, one time i typed in the search "pictures taken with the s700" and that was it and it brough up 100,000's of threads which had nothink to do with what i was looking for.

but anyways, about s60 v uiq i signed up to the 3 network last saturday and i had to get a 3g handset with so there was a motorola and a nokia to choose from, the guy at the carphonewarehouse said the motorola's had problem with batter and signal, so i picked the nokia 6630 which has symbian, and i have to say i am very impressed, its quick and easy to use, and has all the software features you need, now if that Nokia 6630 Operating system was in a sony ericsson it will be the dogs dangleys, perfect. and if i am not misstaken i heard that sony ericsson will bringing out symbian 60 on there next "p" ranges with 3g which will have buttons of course, if thats the case then that will deffenetley be my next phone

SE taking up s60 interface? Its sound impossible as nokia owns most of symbian. :-)

I also heard people saying how k700i interface is better than 6600 interface. How pathetic is that! And how you call a normal phone like k750i perfect? Listen to me people, no phone with has an absence of symbian is perfect and that a fact! :-*

Hmmm...going by your thoughts, most nokia handsets suck because not everyone of them is series 60. Right?

More confusing than flexible. And the series 60 interface is a big joke. Of course its my opinion. I say this because i currently use a s60 device. But i love series 60 for its capabilities. Really great value for money!

S60 Is the worst and most crappy OS i have ever used. Iīm using a 6680 right now and nothing works on this phone because of s60. No donīt try to lie to people here that itīs better than SEīs.
T68 had better OS than s60

Marcus, apperantly you have no idea whats the capable of this OS, i suggest you to search on google and type series60 applications =)

BTW guys! just to clear this thing up, Series 60 is Fully Run and developed by nokia while UIQ is an idependent company which is only licensed by other campany such as SE, Arima and MOTO. Nokia can simply licensed UIQ if they wanted to..

Cus im assuming that MOST of you guys are also assuming that UIQ is own by SE just because Pxxx has it. not true!

Sure I know itīs lots of applications out there. Lots of great ones, but the OS demand so much more from the phones today than what the phones can deliver. For the most people a K700 and K750 is far greater, but if you want to have a pretty crappy GPS function or a slow phone, then yes buy a S60
