This is the world's first Gigapixel camera,It would take a video wall of 10,000 television screens or 600 prints from a professional digital SLR camera to capture as much information as that contained in a single Gigapxl exposure.

Well at the moment this technology is not commercially available,YET!
but if you had an extra bob or two then your looking at least £100,000 +

for a 24-bit image, that should be about 3GB, uncompressed. But with decent JPEG compression maybe only about 300MB.

I see what you mean, but If you compare it to the 3GB uncompressed file, "only" makes it sound fine.
What would an ordinary mortal do with this kind of images anyway?
