Orange K750i after the firmware update |

For those who didnt like the Icons on the Orange phone when they first purchased the phone.
Well i have just done the update on the SW website i now have R1J002 Camera verision 4.4
And Shall i tell you something. The Main Menu Icons have changed. Orange have listened to you all and guess what. There just like the SE ones now! So heres a picture and get updating your phone people
Sorry Quality isnt good, but god the phone is so much better.
The menus are faster..

Finally it works! the new menu is so much nicer to the eye  This has really made my day! |

See as Orange adverts all say.
A customer forgotten is like a Unicorn. It doesnt exist.
i just hope orange dont go back to the other icons now. I will be upset.
so to All you who work for Orange, Please please dont change the icons back and thankyou from me and possible a few others too!!

I have downloaded the software it says. It gets to where i must remove the phone, turn off.
Then hold C and plug into the USB again.
All that happens is my phone turns on |

I too have the K705i (on Orange) and I must admit the icons are "OK"". Thats it. Nothing special really.
I was intregued by the previous thread about downloading some software to replace this?

Whe you do the firmware update the Orange Icons in the main screen go back to the normal SE Generic Icons.
If this is now not the case then SE must have changed the software some time today.
I got use to the Orange icons, they were ok. But i do prefer the SE ones |

How did you get the update, I get as far as the final install screen and get the message "your operator (Orange) does not approve the use of this service with this device"? |

The update that some of us received from SE was not the correct Orange firmware update. This doesnt harm your phone in any way, just that Orange didnt aprove of the update i believe.
When the new firmware is relased however I am aware that the icons will be returned back to the Orange ones.
Sorry for the news. You never know Orange may have chnged of heart but i dont no!!  |

Sothey put the orange firmware update on and now... seeing as they realised there was a problem and orange didnt agree with them doing that they have now taken the firmware update off... when is it going to be available then cos these bugs are annoying me |

If you update from R1J to R1L using the SEUS the icons now go back to the Orange generic ones also u loose the function to change the start up screen.

Yes did mine last night.
Just out of interestit may just be me but I swear when the icons on the left and right of the main menu screen are selected the zoomed in image has been moved more to the centre?
