German magazine, Connect designated Samsung’s SGH-D500 as the most reliable handset in its June 2005 issue.

"According to the survey conducted by the German magazine Connect with 12,000 readers who have bought new cell phones within last two years, Samsung’s blueblack phone has the lowest breakdown rate.

Connect studied the breakdown rate of 38 models from 9 handset manufacturers such as Samsung Electronics, Nokia, Motorola, Siemens, Sony Ericsson, Sharp, NEC, Sagem and T-Mobile.

Connect has carrying out handset breakdown rate study once a year since 2001 on cell phones imported to Germany.

quite easy to win such a thing. you only need 1 person with one D500 to vote.
the more phones sold of one type the more reliable the numbers are
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA

PLUS the fact that the model is quite new and u can't test reliability after just a few months.Try 2 years..this test doesn't say much being quite expensive.

I've always been sceptical of Samsung's... Maybe I've just got an aversion to Korean food. I've never used the D500 but anything phone with a mechanical sliding mechanism ain't getting my vote.
