What file extension are you using? If it like the K700 the file extension should be .mp4 or the Apple iTunes AAC file extension of .m4a

but i'll try renaming them now |

I've just sent an AAC audio file created in Apple iTunes with the extension .m4a and it works perfectly!
.aac isn't necessarily the correct extension for AAC files.

changing the extension doesnt fix it !!!!
it must be encoded in the correct format !!!
second check also its bitrate. i remember that my k700 didnt play 192kbps songs .... |

It does not support raw AAC files, it needs to be wrapped in a container, like .mp4 or .m4a as Itunes name them.

aac works fine for me via itunes conversion
what audio rate have you all been using?
i have tried 64 / 96 / 128 they all sounded fine but you can notice a slight difference the lower you go.
cant wait for the purchase of bigger card

@numb said it all
It only supports aac wraped in .mp4/.m4a container, like almost any device that supports aac |

Renaming it on the phone prob wont work...
On the phone he song is "whatever.acc" but you only see "whatever" so if you rename it to "whatever.mp4" then really the file name is "whatever.mp4.acc" so its still a .acc file... |

No, the problem is the file has to be converted to .mp4/.m4a, not simple .aac . It won´t do with just renaming

you should be able to use dbpoweramp to wrap the aac stream in an mp4 shell...
or atleast extract to wav so you can then rip an mp4..

A .mp4 file and a .aac file is not the same thing ! ! ! A .mp4 is a audio/video codec where a .aac is a audio only codec. The audio encoding in a .mp4 is 'almost' identical to a .aac file but not the same.the whole header part will be different ! A simple name change won't work ! To put it in a .mp4 or .m4p or any other format it 'means' the file must be reencoded to that format ! Because of copyright issues, very few devices out there can play true .aac encoded files.

a simple name change is not enough it's true.....
But if you can rip the audio data (obviously you would need software that can decrypt the data if it is copyright protected) then you can easily decode an .aac file to wav and from there encode as mp4, mp3, ogg, whatever.
Some aac files aren't copyright protected, so it may be possible in this case to use a decoder... if one can be found...
I tried extracting the audio out of the .aac files taken off my Nokia 5510, but all the aac codecs I've tried don't recognise it as aac. I expected that; the manual for the phone was quite clear that the music files would be no use on other devices!
