When writing a text message, is there anyway to change the text size? I find the standard font a little on the large side.

Thanks,
David

When writing a message on the k700i you used to be able to go...

More -> Text format -> Text size

Unfortunately it looks as though this option has been removed in the new software. A bad move by SE in my eyes.

You sure it was a k750i?

Hmmm, been through all the menu options for text settings, can't see anything anywhere.

Bah!

Cheers,
David

Hey etaab,

Have you remembered how you did this yet? So, let's get this clear, when you are *writing* your SMS you have somehow managed to get the phone to display in a small font?

Can anyone else help with this? Or is etaab the only person who's managed to figure this out?

Thanks,
David

I havent been able to figure this out myself...have searched for it everywhere in the phone.

It was such a cool feature in previous SE models.

you should mark your text & then MORE/TEXT FORMAT

... maybe you cant see text format in MORE menu because you are still right behind written word with underline (t9).... hmm?

There is no 'mark text' option either as far as I can see, irrespective of whether I am in T9 underline mode or not. Are you referring to a k750i option?

Given that noone seems sure how to do it, I can only assume that there is no way of changing the far too large text size when writing the SMS message, which is one feature I will sorely miss from my previous Nokia 7250i.

Thanks,
David

you can certainly mark text.

press the volume down while moving the joystick over the text you want to mark.

as I recall, in the T610 you could press * and 1 for copy, * and 2 for cut and * and 3 for paste but that only worked for phone numbers in contacts

although I can mark text on he K750 when writing an SMS there is nothing on the more menu as suggested and none of the above keys work as expected either

the manual doesn't seem to offer any clues unfortunately so I'll keep playing until I or someone else gets this figured out

yes sure, marking of text is possible, thank you masseur, ...

now i am not owner of k750, but i played with this phone, and i used marking text and i was able to make text bigger. Then.... i thought this option is not visible on k750 when you are writing word with t9 (while word is underlined), because at my k700 this option is not accessible while word is underlined...

Text size is EMS support while i am not mistaken, so maybe there is some option to turn off/on EMS support (are there other things, like text alignment, text style, inserting bw pics, etc ???)

Maybe you can try to turn on/off T9 to see if TEXT FORMAT will appear in the menu...

sorry... but i am only quessing....

Heh, I just found this in my K700 - didn't know it was there! I like the small size...
When my K750 comes I'll see if I can find it. Was meant to come today, but CPW seem to have lost it. I'm promised tomorrow...
