i'm almost 100 % that se will use cmos sensors for it's 3mpx line because of it's size and this is also partly confirmed by eldar who said that se will still use cmos sensors in it's high end devices, only ccd in lower, medium end devices....

OK, but K750i is moving to CCD (info from M-R.com - news section), so seems that they succsess to make smaller CCD on higer resolution,
and CCD sensor is more expensive so I doubt that will be just in lower and medium end devices.

No specs, as yet. We do know that it is 3G and will be gaming orientated. I have a hunch SE will declare 2006 as the year of the Gamer. Don't forget that you heard it hear first :-D. I have a vision of SAKURA being a sort of 'Sony Ericsson Mini Playstation Portable', with online gaming capability. Cam, I guess, won't be less than 2mp.

Your right Goldenface.. I read an interview that SE have done good camera phones, and now introducing good mp3 player phones (walkman branding) and now they want to produce good game phones..

So were gonna see in 2006 new gaming phones with good 3D engines

I have some doubts...

There is something very wrong in the Ellen pictures. Can you spot it?

On all pics but the rightmost one (with slider open), the hole for the strap is situated at the top of the phone. Slider open, it is located at the bottom...?!?

@super g. Very observant. However thats because Ellen swivels and doesn't slide.

@goldenface

Right. That'd explain it
The pics gave me the impression of a slider phone.
I would otherwise expect a picture with the screen half-way "swivelled".

should declare 2006 the 'year of the video recorder' because they don't have a proper video recorder in their new high end phones (K750i and W800) and the video recorder is to me the most important feature in a phone. They have high bitrate but low resolution.

@Connect. I suppose it is an area that could be developed more. There has been a lot of emphasis on still camera innovation in handsets of late. Camcorder functionality seems to have been overlooked, apart from the VideoDJ thingy.
