Come on Knight, i wanna see the finished article! Yellow and black are my favourite colours.
Oh and Ghost, when i was reading your first post when you were mentioning all the coats u were putting on i thought "Whoa that's a lot of paint to be putting on a phone".
The P910 screen is different to the P900 screen by the way, but ya can probably buy a new screen off Ebay. I would go for another P910 cos the XDA II is very big and not very good in my opinion.

Thanks. I would like to believe I am a bit of both, in truth I am probably just a nerd. It wasn't an entirely original effort, I had read a small text only guide on how to do take a P900 apart and assumed correctly that the two were similar. It was still an ambitious project because I had no photos to work from. The project began with the simple intention of replacing housings, and evolved when I decided to paint the damaged housing. Now I have a bright yellow housing and a normal one.

Anyway, I am glad to see that people are still finding this thread useful long after I created it.

The mic is particularly delicate and easy to puncture or ruin. I didn't ruin it myself, but I could see how this would be easy to do. It would be possible that the mic is in backwards or something as well.

By the way, my phone is getting into its old age and I am thinking about buying something new. This also means there may be one more project in the works sometime soon.
