what will work, even with a 'regulated' phone, is to first make a call, say... to an information line, then, while still connected, open the lens cover... you can photograph while connected, but the phone connection mutes the shutter sound.

Curious about this... are there numbers that iwll keep you connected forever as long as you have a signal? interesting idea if there are some numbers that will keep you on as long as you want. |

Does anyone know how to increase the backlight time on the K750i? The 20 seconds it spends being lit before automatically turning off just ain't enough for me...

@tzakiel:
Why not change the country settings with daVinci? afaik the Euro5 will let you make the silent photos.

Um no I have EU_2 now and I can change both phone language & writing language, and menus and T9 both use that language. I just tried switching from English to French (since I figured it was the only one I knew enough to not get lost when I need to switch back to English) and both menus & T9 (you have to set French in both) work in French. |

I would have thought 20 seconds is plenty time to take a photo, if you want to use the light as a torch, you can turn it on permanently in the organiser menu.

Don't Drain The Battery
--------------------------------------------------
With Lithium-Ion batteries there is no advantage to draining the battery. The battery will infact last longer with partial rather than full discharges. There is no battery memory effect with a lithium ion battery - you can charge the battery whenever you like without fear of reducing its charge capacity, and you do not need to drain a lithium ion battery completely before recharging it.
Find out more about Lithium-Ion batteries here: http://www.batteryuniversity.com/

Pressing 0 in camera (video) mode selects long or short clips.
When viewing pictures in "horizontal" mode, 1 zooms in, 3 zooms out. I think the volume keys also zoom. |

Hey, you're right, I never even noticed lol. But after reading on the battery university site;
Li-polymer Is technically lithium-ion-polymer, a small variation of the li-ion battery. It's a different cell formation containing polymer to allow for slim batteries. But it still has all the same characteristics and performance of the classic lithium-ion battery.

Yo, Andaho, I meant backlight. Not flash.
When a key is pressed on the phone, the phone lights up. It's the duration of THAT light I am interested in extending. Anyway, is it possible? |

Ahh sorry, I read it wrong. I've also noticed it being a little annoying while playing strategy games such as Ancient Empires where you watch the CPU player take his turn; the backlight turns off and you have to keep pressing a button all the time.
It appears there is no solution to the problem... maybe in the first firmware update they'll add an option.

With the R1J002 firmware the profile "In car" will leave your backlight on all time or until you manually lock your keypad. If you have on automatic lock, the backlight will go of when the keypad is locked.
I'm not sure if this is still the case for R1L002. I'm not sure if it was in the R1A002 firmware. |

this maybe because the prorammers thought you might want to waste your battery as much as you can
