Put the standby clock back on last night. Woke up this morning and it had froze up. Took the battery out and restarted the phone. 20 minutes later it froze up again
Sod it. I'm gonna get me S700 out again.

yeah well... my K750i froze last night. It's the first time it's happened since i bought it. The first two nights were perfectly fine, but last night, it froze. I hope it won't happen anymore... and hopefully the new firmware will fix this.

Just got an e-mail from SE telling me that this bug will be fixed in the next firmware. So that means it's not a hardware fault *phew* Using my old phone until I can get a hold on that firmware, nokia for teh win!

Emailed SE only to get a very unhelpful reply along the lines of if you think its faulty take it to a service centre, your nearest one is blah blah blah....

Are SE giving out different advice to different customers? Is this country specific advice and is there a solid date for the firmware release?

If its definatley software, then i dont see the point in sending it off to be "repaired" by a local agent who wont be able to do anything until SE release firmware fix, which i can do myself - so means i will be without a phone for ages - and if against all odds it is hardware related, then surely im entitled to a refund/replacement in the first 28 days as it was sold to me faulty? (UK law)

Well the swedes are helpful at all time I also asked the ppl where I bought my handset if it was ok to test the new firmware before I requested a refund/new handset. They recommended doing just that. Also the SE-ppl said the new firmware would be out "shortly". I hope that means this week!

Link to Update Service has now appeared on K750i support page. Not operating just yet though...

Rookwise, I know what you mean I am considering starting up my P900. The Se phones have good specs and are ahead is some aspects than there competion. The bad point is they have not mastered the concept of there mobile should work.

I had the P800 then upgraded to the P900 because of probs and now upgraded to K750i.

I am on call-out and require da phone so I am stuffed. if the firmware does not work this week I am gonna switch to Nokia like a lot of people I am hearing about as they are fed-up with SE not testing the phones before release.

Will thats my complaining done.

All it seems that each phone has a slightly different aspect of the crashing feature. so work by keeping certain apps running others don't. Its wait till the firmware or get another phone unfortunately.
