im not certain whether or not the sim free would have branding, however i think they may, otherwise why would o2 be the only people which have it? (well the first anyway) im guessing they will have the branding but as i said its very very minimal, the only difference is that you dont have to sign up to a new contract with them thats all

No. Like previous models it has useless Wireless Village IM (My Friends) that noone can use as I don't know a single operater that supports it.
You can use a Java application though. I use IM+ from shapeservices.de and it works great for AOL, Jabber, ICQ, Yahoo and MSN.

Yes, of course.
Bluetooth is great, much faster than in T630.

My Friends can used if you have it on your phone.

I use it all the time.

You have to set an account at Yamigo.com or see here for more details.

On my K700, I used the My Friends option as a sort of quick dial/sms list, by simply adding the phonebook contacts I called most to the list and added a shortcut to My Friends.

However, this does not seem to be possible on the K750.. the only option is to add contacts by user name (from an iVillage server, I presume), but it does not appear to be possible to add them from the phone book. Anyone know if this is still doable somehow?

Hi , ....

Just registered today after i saw a link from this site ...

I got my K750i just yesterday as a replacement for my T630 and i must say it's an improvement ( understatement )
Camera is great and is a nice feature !
I did discover a fault unfortunately , when you switch off the phone it will loose it's right shortcut memory , therefore I don't use my right shortcut anymore , if this will be the only problem i can live with that ..

I will hook it up to my bluetooth carkit later today ... see if everythings still works

It's strange, my right shortcut doesn't disappear when the phone is switched off... what shortcut was it? Mine is set on the wap browser

Nonsense. Operators donīt have to officialy support yamigo/myfriends. And it isnīt useless...right itīs used by hundreds of people all over the world, that conect to the msn/icq/yahoo networks with ease

Your problem is that you just canīt configure My Friends properly

So why donīt you go to http://www.yamigo.com and READ the instructions???

I strongly advise yamigo/My Friends to any k750 user needing an IM app

And look to this:

oskargronqvist SE 8492 41 SonyEricssonK750i

This is data i found in the connected devices list here http://www.yamigo.com/wv/admin/

As you see, itīs a k750 connected through yamigo...from Sweden, so??? Please try to get some knowledge about things before saying My Friends is useless

Unfortunately my operator doesn't allow My Friends apparently, I don't have that option using a k500, k700 or a k750 unbranded

(and before you ask: YES I know where the option should be on the menu, but it's not there on mine with my SIM card, it's only there if I switch to another network)
