Hi All,

It's available at least for 162005/1 and 162005/2! Again, NO RELEASE NOTE!!! What is SE doing?
Cheers

My guess is that the fixes are mostly bugs, stuff you would not comprehend anyway because you are not inside the programming of the OS.
But I'm not defending them, I think release notes should be always there, even if we don't understand them ...

release notes always come some days or weeks after the actual firmware is available. very shoddy way to work if you ask me

Unfortunately its still R1C for O2 branded versions.

Those brands think they are selling regular phones.
SMART Phones are not regular phones.
You are entitled to upgrades and bug fixes, or else they should have to give you a new upgraded phone!
If I were you I would write a letter of protest to O2 and to some consumer protection organizatio. Try here:

I dont think that trading standards would do anything. The update service is a service that SE offer as gesture of goodwill. If the phone was really faulty then it would still be supported in a service centre.

I have installed it on my phone.
I'm just doing a restore.
Once I've done that I'll play with it for a while and see if I notice anything new.
I also want to see if it fixes the bug I'd noticed with the older firmware (If you took a pic with the flip closed and selected "Send as MMS" it sometimes would not load up the messages app, it would just do nothing for 5 seconds and return to commicorder) |

Well, it appears the bug I posted about is fixed.
Apart from that, nothing else jumps out at me. It seems faster to me, but I suspect that's just me thinking that, it probably hasn't changed at all.
One thing I have noticed is that Tracker4 appears faster when the flip is opened.
Anyone else who's updated notice anything? |

hmm the speed i think it has nothing to do with the new upgrade.
When you reflash you phone to new firmware you actually "reformated" the phone. Thats why you knotice speed increase same applied to pc and other device
