Am just wondering if anyone has some genuine specs on the S700i successor, codename: Ellen.
All I have heard is that it's smaller with a better camera. These would be fairly obvious changes, and could be pure speculation.
Anyone got any decent info on this model?

I have read that it will also take the form of a games console too.

Imagine the S700 with buttons above as well as below the screen and you have the perfect games console.

A loop antennae similar to the Premini S has also been mentioned.

I don't think it will have anything less than a 2MP cam either.

Cheers Goldenface.
What exactly is a loop antenna?
I have heard that this may be incorporated into the upcoming Sakura model (also a potential S700i replacement) but have heard no mention of it on Ellen!

to me, the loop antenna is more due to stlying rather than RF requirement....but maybe some guru here can prove me wrong

btw k300 didn't have loop antenna...its J300

Yeah, I think it is both a styling exercise and an improvement. I think the first to have it was the Z200 or the Original Premini.

I would imagine it would improve the reception simply because you can fit more antennae inside that loop than you can slotted into the top of a normal phone.

I wouldn' t like to introduce this on all models though it would put some buyers off as it is an acquired taste having that big scoop thing at the top of the phone.

Great for eating ice-cream with I should imagine.

I'm not too sure about the possible inclusion of a loop ariel. Judging by the look of the model featured on Goldenfaces picture, I don't think it would look good on an S700i update! Think they should stick to the incredible sleek camera style as on the current model. [addsig]

I have read that this handset will be based on the Japanese SO506ic.

Much like the S700i was based on the SO505i.
