yes thats right-all Nokia 6230i's have been recalled due to a software fault when recievin sms or vms indicators during calls-apparently it makes a really high pitched sound then the call turns to static. all unsold handsets are being recalled and expiring owners will be able to upgrade the hardware as soon as it becomes available-Nokia are unable to give a time scale as yet!

Yeah it's guttin but these things could be expected since the phone was rushed to market to beat the K750i.

Well i have also read about sinc problems over BT and IR the phone just dont wanna conect and some other ishues ... i whas down the shoping center in the morning to pick up my breakfast and i can still see them on shelves of t-mobile and orange ... did not ask do .

Is this all sofware revisions ? can't say i noticed this problem when i had stock of them..

I've currently got one for sale and there are no problems with it at all.
Had a play with it and everything works fine.
Bluetooth and camera work fine.
Messages can be sent and recieved with no problems.....

Customer just got back to me , said no problems at all , software on he's 6230i V3.30.
£205 is a good price , phones4u were doing them sim free for £199.99 but now changed to £249.99

They are also exactly the same price at www.mobilefun.co.uk at the mo..£204.95, whereas the expansys's 'today only' offer ended at 3pm.

Been told today by one of my Technical Support guys that it's S/W V3.30 thats effected-apparently this is the same across all UK networks (inc SIM Free devices). If anyone owns one and they ain't had any probs-jammy sods! ;-)
