I must admit.. some pictures are good. The macro feature provides unrealistic photos.

The reason why some pics show more detail, is because the macro gives the illusion of clarity when it is merely being magnified, however the real color often times is compromised.

Think about it..... do people really carry magnifying glasses when taking pics?

Unless you are a scientist studying insects and minute objects.

I've noticed a compromise on realistic size of objects as well as color.

I think it does a pretty good job and I'm not going to complain.

here is a macro picture from my K750

and the same picture taken with macro on my Sony DSC-T1

I wouldn't be unhappy if I no longer had the T1 and had to rely on the K750 only and thats the first time I have ever been able to say that!

REO, the camera isn't putting anything there that isn't already there. there's no illusion of clarity because a camera can't make something more detailed or more clear than it really is in reality. and i don't see color being compromised in macro mode more than normal mode, and that's pretty much none. macro mode is also a basic function even on the most basic point and shoot digital cameras so i don't know what you're talking about with scientists and bugs.

my 2 clearest pictures -
normal settings, non-macro

and one i just took 30 minutes ago, normal settings, macro mode on

I don't own a K750. I'm going by the images posted here.

nice photo's massive forest. I don't know if anyone can help, or sorry if this already been asked. But you know how when you store music from a cd onto a real player library forexample, it compresses it to a certain size right? but is it possible to compress it any further, using real player or any other site, so it dosen't take up too much space on my k750?

WOW ! ALL those macro shots are awesome ! As far as i can see, there doesnt seem to be any loss of color or anything else. I can hardly wait to see what the CCD sensor on this baby is gonna do !

@mrmiyagi - download dbpoweramp from www.dbpoweramp.com, download the mp4 codec from the codec central page and convert your mp3's to mp4 (lesser space) or use Nero file encoder (part of Nero burning ROM 6.0 and above) or i-Tunes. i recommend Nero if you can get it

I really cannot believe how great the camera in the K750i is.

REO, im sorry i have to disagree with you again, i simply cannot fault the K750i. The macro mode is amazing, and the colour reproduction in most pictures is spot on - i should know since im at the place i took the pictures to compare with my own eye.

The only pictures which look bad that ive taken so far, or washed out / pale are the ones where ive shot into the sunlight, which is more my own fault rather than anything wrong with the camera.

Anyway, heres a couple from today.

These two i just love, the colours are very vibrant:

The only problems im having with the camera are keeping my hand steady, and waiting the 3 seconds or so for the picture to save after i press the shutter key.
