How come the mmc has a password in the beginning? CF and MS cards don't....

Update:
I came across this thing when searching for locked mmc's on Google..
What do you folks think....?
MMC unlocker
Its called the JAF mmc cable.
Will it be of any use?
I still have the old mmc at my friends place.

The JAF MMC cable is useless without a JAF box... Its a kind of flashing device for Nokias....so tough luck Unless you manage to find the complete set

Whizzkid, will post info in half-hour when i get home. There IS an app which restores password... There's also pc app which will repair damaged sectors and recover your data, etc. PM in a few minutes, ok
EDIT:- There's a pc app i've heard of called MMC MEDIC which can restore lost data, etc. Will get the link to you asap.

had same problem ended up sending the mmc back to the card manufacturer (pqi) and they took 2 months to get the thing back to me dont know whether it was replaced or repaired but when i got it back i didnt put a password on it. if you look after your phone no one will get their hands on your mmc anyway |
