@ ajack / droll

Maybe I've misread the manual or something, but why is that when I set Sman to start in the sysinfo module (fn-> options->navigation) and then select Sysinfo from the FO Startup dropdown menu, it starts in the Task Manager module instead of the Sysinfo module?

The same happens when I set sman to start in the Infostore module, then it also starts in the Task Manager module.

But the funniest thing is when I set sman to start in the Network Info module, it automatically selects the Zipmanager module and that's the module that is started the next time I decide to run sman. Even more funnier is when I take a look fn->options->navigation, I see that it automatically highlighted Zipmanager instead of Network Info in FO Startup.

Is this a bug in the 1.4 release of sman or are my P800 and P910 just exceptions?

This happens with sman 1.4 build 244 on both my phones.

@all:

My website is down due to some disagreement with the provider. I may just post the SMan builds in this thread until a more permenent solution is made available. If you would like to e-mail me try ajack2001my@yahoo.com

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

@sensui:

Thanks for the assistance, I have just released v1.4a on a temporary site. See message below.

@all:

As you know, our site http://renegade.w3xs.com is down. I am having problems with the service provider (running a site isn't cheap) and they just pulled the plug on us.

Mattias Ek was kind enough to offer us temporary hosting. You can get the latest version of SMan (v1.4a) there. The URL is http://sman.gotdns.com

Please show your appreciation to Mattias by visiting his site called the Symbian UIQ Users Site at URL http://machman.gotdns.com

On another note, I will be in the UK for a month and will not be able to help you if you have any problems with SMan, maybe droll (he will be in Vietnam) can help you if he's free (we both have day jobs). So don't expect to much from us during this time. I am very sure the Symbian community can assist you with any problems you may have with SMan.

You can always e-mail me at ajack2001my@yahoo.com if you have any urgent problems with SMan, I however do not guarantee that I will respond quickly.

Again, thanks to all for their help.

BTW, both droll and I are from Malaysia. Malaysia boleh!

@all:

Just a quick update, I have spoken to the original owner of w3xs.com and he has agreed in principle to transfer the domain name to me. Once I have the domain name, I will be searching for a web provider to host our site and we will be back in "business" (a non-profitable one, though )

Another quick note, Droll and I are working on a seperate project for the UIQ platform and we hope to release it only when it is ready. It will only interest a few gamers and programmers and anyone playing with the new program will suddently be very good at using the CiC Jotter... I promise...

We are still around, just busy with day time jobs and trying to get our ideas into UIQ...

Because the reboot code in SMan takes 45 seconds to initiate the reboot sequence on a P910 that it was faster to switch off and on the unit that use the reboot code.

The "Fix applist" utility function fixes a problem that only happens on a P800 and is grayed out on non-P800 devices.

bluejacking involves only sending the msg one way. From you to the other party. You cannot retrieve data from the opposite side.
